What the Student Receives
Through the generosity of donors and supporters of the Chant Torah America Initiative, every participating B’nai Mitzvah student receives a one-year subscription to TropeTrainer™ for an $18 tax-deductible donation made by the congregation. This special gift is designed to reinforce the idea that becoming B’nai Mitzvah is not the culmination of Jewish learning, but the beginning of a lifelong journey of Torah study, participation, and leadership. Students receive full access to TropeTrainer’s comprehensive library of Torah, Haftarah, and Megillot readings, along with multiple traditions, transliteration and translation options, interactive learning tools, customizable displays, and audio features that help them continue developing their chanting skills long after their simcha.
Each student is also presented with a beautiful, high-quality personalized Chant Torah America Certificatecommemorating their participation in the initiative. Elegantly designed and suitable for framing, the certificate includes the student’s name, congregation, date of their B’nai Mitzvah, personalized TropeTrainer access information, and four pre-selected Torah or Haftarah chanting opportunities scheduled throughout the year following their simcha. The certificate serves as both a keepsake and a roadmap, reminding students that they remain valued participants in Jewish communal life and encouraging them to continue using the skills they worked so hard to achieve.
What the Administrator Receives
Congregations, clergy, educators, and program administrators receive access to organizational tools and resources that make implementation simple and effective. Administrators can manage student subscriptions, assign licenses, monitor participation, and support students as they progress through the program. In addition, participating institutions receive certificate templates, implementation guides, recognition resources, and access to Chant Torah America program materials designed to help create meaningful post–B’nai Mitzvah engagement opportunities.
The initiative provides a structured framework that congregations can easily integrate into their existing educational programs while maintaining flexibility to meet local needs. By combining the power of TropeTrainer™ with a year-long engagement model, administrators are equipped with practical tools to improve retention, strengthen Torah literacy, foster youth leadership, and create a culture in which B’nai Mitzvah becomes the beginning of a lifelong connection to Jewish learning and community.
